Body Science PFT fitness trainers use a unique methodology to evaluate each client to determine the most effective training program based on individual metabolic profile, muscle strength, flexibility, nutritional needs and lifestyle.  At your fingertips, you’ll have detailed information about your caloric needs and how your body burns fat. GET ACQUAINTED WITH YOUR METABOLISM

The first step in beginning an effective fitness program is understanding your metabolism.  With Body Science’s Metabolic Assessment, you quickly become familiar with your body; how it uses the food you eat and how it responds to cardio exercise.
The two-part assessment includes very simple resting and cardio exercise evaluations, administered by a trained specialist using software that provides: 

  • Detailed personalized feedback about your caloric needs; 
  • Clear explanation of your current level of fitness What type of fuel (food) your body uses most often – at rest and exercising;  
  • How your system responds to cardio exercise and;  
  • How much fuel you use at different levels of exercise intensity.

 


The information from your metabolic assessment is used to create a program of effective workouts that teach your body to burn fat efficiently when your body needs energy. "Umm, what does that mean?” It means that when you do cardio exercise, you can take satisfaction in knowing that you’re burning fat—instead of just time.  Armed with this information and a customized strength and flexibility plan, you may even find yourself eating more and working out less than what you thought was necessary.  It’s all about working smarter, not necessarily harder.


PHASE 1 -
MANAGING YOUR WEIGHT

 #2 - Heart Rate Monitor
The most important tool for monitoring your cardio workouts is a heart rate monitor, which reports your progress during each session and ensures you are exercising at the right level to burn fat.  The simplest heart rate monitors are low-cost, one-button push watches that come with a simple chest-strap transmitter. The transmitter sends your heart-rate data to most cardio fitness machines while you are exercising.  You can find a heart rate monitor at any fitness store or purchase through Body Science.

 #3 - Nutrition Plan
A new approach to moving your body requires a new approach to your diet – that’s “diet”, not “dieting”.   “Dieting” creates the mindset of deprivation (having to skip out on all your favorites) and rigid control (forbidden foods and counting calories).   With guidance from Body Science’s online nutrition tracking and aerobic training tool - or with help from a dietitian - you’ll learn to fuel your body with the right foods, in the right amounts, at the right times. No point systems or calorie counting required!
